Mexican Hat produces an unusual flower with contrasting two-toned leaves. Quite variable in expression, sometimes petals are mostly yellow, others more deep burgundy. Prolific bloomer the first year and perennial in the southern extent of its range. Pollinators love Mexican Hats, so they are a good coice for pollinator gardens.
